Hey all :D

Well, I wanted another car that'd be a little more practical than the car I've got at the mo, and after looking at the aussie market for a while I stumbled upon the humble datsun range. Looked a bit further and found the 510!

Fell in love as soon as I saw it and so I went out and got one! I've picked up a '72 P510, L20B running on straight gas. Overall it's in a pretty sad condition but that's why I bought it after all. Some pics below 8)

I'm planning a complete restoration and rebuild so the interior will be updated with something comfortable, a nice nissan 2L (FJ or SR, undecided), some modern suspension and brakes, complete strip back to baremetal and rust treatment and a good respray! None of this will be happening for a while though, I've got another project to finish first but that shouldn't be much longer :)

Looking forward to getting it running nicely

doesn't look half bad mate. straight LP gas is good too, plugs never foul, oil stays clean, and you can hike up the compression without pinging

Not the best pics, if there's anything in particular you'd like a look at I'll get some more :)

I've only driven it a little but overall not too bad, normal performance hasn't suffered too much. Once warm it runs well, but takes a while to get there...
