Here's my car. It's a B310 120Y. I don't think I've seen any of the square light models on the site so I might be the first :D.

I had it over a year now but it has only been on the road about 6 months as the rest of the time it was sitting in the garage/getting bodywork/getting painted.

Not much to say, it has in a completely stock A12. It was automatic but I sourced all the parts (clutch, flywheel, box etc) and got it converted to the 4 speed manual. I kept the automatic diff because it has a better ratio so I get a little more acceleration out of the old engine.

I have a set of 13x7 Starmags which I have to paint and then get tyres for. So for now I'm stuck with the standard wheels.
As far as suspension goes the car has serious body roll which I want to get rid of. Right now I have set of 160J front struts which will be put on at some point but I need to get new brake pads for them and the discs need cleaning up. If I can find a 160J rear end that will get installed too, if not I'll just get a good set of aftermarket shocks and stiffer springs for the back (any suggestions on good springs to use?)
I dont see any point in modifying the A12. Instead I'll do an A14 or A15 engine swap and go from there.

Here are some pics. 8)

thats very neat and clean man! where are you from? you should put your location in your profile so people near you might be able to help with parts and go fast bits...

over in Australia the model you have is known as the sunny, and in the US as the 210.

how did you go at the autocross?

Thanks, the car wasn't always this clean, it had a fair set of bodywork like new running pannels, new flooring. Luckily it was MIG welded.

I live in Barbados (a little island in the Caribbean). So I don't think any of you guys in Australia can easily help me out with parts. But parts for Datsuns are easy to come by here. You can even get brand new parts. The front and rear windshield rubbers are new and so is the bonnet.

I didn't do too bad in the autocross despite having dead suspension and worn out tyres. The water pump housing did burst though but I got it fixed the same day. So I only completed 3 runs in my car and the last run in my friends B210 ( 510 suspension all round, A14 with cam and 2 SUs, welded diff 8) ) I should get tyres and suspension sorted out before this years Autocross season begins though :D .

that looks awesome man, see if you can find the pinstriping tape, it's very thin about 3mm and do a line of blue and white around the rim, for that datsun look!

do you have any other plans for it? like engine modifications?

Yeah it was resprayed near the end of February last year.

Right now no plans for the A12, when I first got it I had some basic things done like replaced the battery, air filter, coolant, oil, oil filter, belts etc and got the carb tuned. Would like to get an A15, overhaul it, and work from there. Is the A15 a simple drop in though or does anything have to be modified for it to fit?

Then there's other stuff like replace the old worn out door panels, replace one of the metal brake lines, replace exhaust rubbers. Just basic things to get it back in shape. Before all that I have to tend a little resurfacing rust. Sure its been only a year and a half since the respray, but living on 21x14 mile island means you're never far enough from the sea and salty air.
