new gearbox went in, accidently got the startermotor earth strap between bellhousing and engine, resulting in much melted wiring. Fixed that, went for a spin and did this... it never ends.

yeh its been on carsales for a couple of weeks. Still not dead keen to sell but if someone is willing to buy it I'll let it go. Its just costing me more and more. Have spent $600+ on it since i put the ad up, should adjust the price accordingly.

no updates, car is currently sitting with a jumped timing belt and no time to fix it with uni.
Running stanza struts, calipers are cortina because landcruiser ones required dodginess to fit them...

so I had my last ever uni exam today :D and when i got home i did a compression test, all fine til no.4 which wouldnt even register a reading. For all I know this could still be a timing problem, with valves being open on compression stroke? I dont know, so I'm stripping it. Anyone wants parts let me know.
cheers

If you're talkign about the 4AGE, my understanding is that it's an "interference" motor, so the lack of compression could be attributable to a valve having punched a hole in a piston.

nah 4ag is a non-interference motor
