Currently running a stock computer for a CA18DET in my datto. I want to upgrade or get the fukr to run properly.
Is there much point in getting the stocker chipped , fuel cut defender and run more boost without running rich ?
What are peoples thoughts on plug-in computers like TSI or Haltech ?

Just want to know on peoples thoughts about the computers they are running in their cars.....

Hi, Nissanman here,
I am running an FJ20 in a 1600 with a Haltech F9 and although N/A the running characteristics are great
Tuned and set by David Keen at Turbo Tune in Adelaide.
In a turbo car, you need that ignition control so obviously an E6A or later is desireable.
Then it all comes back to the tuner/dyno operator to map things correctly, without that, it all turns pear shaped
You pays your money, you takes your choice :)
BTW what is a TSI computer :?:

I wasnt looking for a fuel only computer like F9 unless i found it cheap($200). The E11 is out now so if anyone wants to get rid of their E6K's cheap i might be interested.
TSI are a piggyback style computer to run fuel, ignition, boost, etc etc

some of those piggy back computers are quite good, if you looking for some thing that is set and forget. they don't leave much room for re adjusting later...... but for the price
