Datsun 1979 200B SSS Coupe
Has an L20b bored 80thou,balanced,shotpeened and
linished rods. Hypertech pistons and chrome rings and ARP bolts. Flywheel is lightened and balanced with Rpm HD pressure plate and 4 puck clutch plate into original SSS 5spd( which is holding up quite well).
The head is my pride and joy. Built by 4 Plus, Ported and polished, Modified combustion chambers and cc'd. Big stainless valves with camtech cam 490thou lift at
valve and 308degrees duration with new rockers.
Adds up to 10.5cr. Induction is datrally manifold on quad butterfly throttle bodies with 4AGZE injectors.
Ignition is Bluebird elec with choice of 2 dizzies, either mech advance or elec through the Wolf 3d.
Group G extractors into 21/4 mandrel bent system
with Stainless Ultraflow muffler. Cooling is done through a 3core radiator and 16inch thermo with a 72degree thermostat and under driven waterpump.

The diff is R180 4.11 LSD. 260z half shafts.
Suspension is Kings HD springs 2.5inch lowered, Koni shocks, adjustable strut tops at front.
Brakes are 180b struts with lowered saddles with Tn Magna vented rotors with VH Commodore calipers and Ultimate pads. 15/16 master cyl, standard rear drums. No beefy sway bars as can't afford it at the moment.

Interior was awful poo brown but is now a more likeable grey. Standard seats at the moment with seat covers unfortunately. Saas steering wheel and autometer shift light tacho. Switch on dash to swap between internal and external maps. Sony head unit with 10stacker in boot and xp480 amp Phillps 6x9's and sony splits.

Car sounds great when cruzin thanks to the Gilmer drive kit.

Colour of car is 2pak Bellflower Purple, tinted windows, new rubbers, brand new grill and headlight surrounds from Nissan.

Mags are 14x6 Collins Crossfever with 195/60/14 yokie A509's. All up the car goes pretty good.
Fastest time down the strip so far has been
15.2 @ 94mph. That was on street tyres, avgas, not
tuned( huge lean out through 2nd and 3rd), exhaust on and bummed start. If it were tuned properly and had slicks I would rekon it would crack a mid 14.
Which I reckon is pretty good considering the car weighs about 1150kg's.

Scott.
