Hi just curious if anyone has used a td42 alternator on the L series?
Are the post spacings the same that attach to the block?

TD or TB? TD alternators are huge and have vac pumps on them.

If you want a good sized alternator for cheap, look for a VG30e, VG30de or VG30dett alternator. They bolt on pretty well, but youll need to swap the pulleys over. I was mid swapping a spare 80A vg30de alternator into my ute, but i sold the ute before finishing it.

I had my original alternator recod for $150 and they fitted larger internals to up the output to 65 amps instead of 40
