I missed the four-year anniversary of me starting this thread, but who's still here, and do we have any newcomers?

My 200SX spent the last five months breaking things. I got stranded four hours north of London and spent the night in the car, then it got damaged at the mechanic when it went in for it's MOT (annual roadworthy check). I got it painted and then it broke down again, but it's all fixed now. Definitely bringing back memories of a certain green 200B breaking down all the time, but at least I haven't had the engine out yet!

The bug is biting harder and harder for a proper classic car, and I'm checking Datsuns on eBay almost daily. Zeds aside, there's not many choices here, and when they do appear they're usually a big project (which I don't have the room for) or fully restored and priced accordingly. I'm waiting for the right car to pop up, then I will pounce.

Has anybody else bought anything new?

Also, I spotted this fine Datsun on a recent ski trip to Bulgaria. I did see another black one drive past, but couldn't get a photo.

Hello

Long time lurker here. I love searching through old posts and reading all the valuable information on here. I've been using the engine calculator a bit too.

I have a 68 510 that I'm starting to restore.

It's a pity this site isn't as active as it used to be :(

I might be able to show off my build one day :D (If it ever gets to the point where I can drive it again, I'm sure it will never be really finished)

What a time to be alive. Like sand through a hour glass......who remembers having to put a 56k warning on threads full of photos?

I come and go looking at old threads hoping to find cool pictures, only to be stuck behind the Photobucket paywall or dead links.

I still own the green 1600. Dan owns jonnos old FJ 1600 and has for awhile.

Dabbled in early commodores when they boomed over covid. There is a VL and VK in the fleet

Meant to be driving my daily, but fuel costs too much. Vt Calais with a gen 4 LS.

Owned my s12 notch for about 8years now. Only really got it driving in the last few and don't use it enough.

Got enough land to pickup and store more shitboxes. And a small flock of dorper sheep (attached are two of the pests using a 620 stored in the garden for a boost).

Oh and I've gone back to using tools and not just being one. Mechanics seem to get paid ok nowadays.

Spotted in Paddington, London on Thursday night (zoom in in front of the silver car). I could see that it had a '73 grill, Watanabe or similar wheels and a loud exhaust. I gave the driver a thumbs up as he went past, he looked at me and didn't respond :lol:

I went to my first car show in years, and look what I spotted! I didn't manage to meet the owner but there was an intercooler behind the grill.

Otherwise the only Datsuns I have seen have been C110s and C210s from the Middle East.
