Hey all, I've recently purchased a datsun 1000. I have no brake lights but I can't find a brake light switch on the pedal. Am I missing something?

I haven't any Service Manuals for that series, but one possibility is that there is a hydraulic switch mounted on the firewall which operates the stop lights.
Have a look and see if there is a switch fitted to one of the hard brake lines

There are a couple of wires coming out of the top of the brake line manifold. Is this a low pressure switch maybe?

Do you mean the brake master cylinder reservoir? If so they could be a low fluid level alarm.
