Can anyone provide more info on the range of options available for selection, on new Autstralian and Japanese Datsun 1600's from the factory?

I know of the following (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong);

These are for the GL?

- Clock option for the dash
- Tacho option
- Push button to activate high beams on indicator stalk
- Glovebox lock
- 5 way ignition barrel
- Reclining seats for the front
- Radio
- Heater unit
- Head rests

What were the differences between the Standard and GL? :cheers :cheers :thumbsup:

All the above options were probably only available on the GL.

I would kill to see an option card...

The original white 72 GL i used to own had grey plastics on the glovebox and instrument panels instead of the usual black. It also had a fancy seat material pattern, not plain like the standard models. The steering wheel was leather bound and there were chrome mouldings that ran along the feature line of the body and doors. Lots of differences if you sit down and compare the two...
