Hi you'll,

for starters, this isn't a FS thread, so dont make it one plz :)

I am just wondering why no one wants to buy my R200 LSD (clutch type) 3.9:1.... is this an undesireable ratio?

i thought there was a large demand for good long nose R200 LSD's?

deva.

it fits into most datsuns i believe... however the only car i was concerned with when i bougt it was my 1600 :) for which i am not using it anymore as i have obtained a cheaper lighter R180 :)

maybe i just chose a bad time to try to offload it, as no1 seems to have enough money,..

i've had people offer me $700 $400 and even as low as $250... I MEAN PLEASE?!?!?!

at least i've had interest by ONE person who's willing to pay around what it's worth! let's hope that all goes well....

Even though its an LSD I wouldnt be paying more than $800 for it. I know of 2 which have been sold for around that price. And although they are rare, no way I'd pay more than that!

I'm still toying with the idea of getting an RX7 series 4/5 one to fit my car. At $400ish a pop they are alot cheaper and generally better condition!

Sorry its just my opinion they arent worth $1200 like some shops are asking. But I'm sure if someone wants it badly enough they will pay pretty much anything

Unfortunatley I agree with Mad1600.

Ive seen several for under a grand, the ratio is a good street ratio but the rally guys generally looking for shorter (ie 4.11 4.4 ect)

It will sell eventually, just not quickly above 1k

Good luck.

Cheers,
Mal

3.9 is a good general purpose ratio but a lot of competition users want a lower ratio than that.

I'd agree with the price comments, buying privately you get no warranty and have to chase around so you expect to pay less.

Deva, the short and long of it is, IMHO you are asking to much for it.

A guy on datnet recently sold one for $650, with the same ratios etc.

I would pay $700 at the most for one for a private sale due to no warranty etc.

If it was a R180 LSD it would be pulling the $1500 mark that you are asking.
