Guess what??? My car got rear ended today.

I had just left work and was stopped in a turning lane, when this little proton satria drives straight into the back of me, she wasn't going fast but it was fast enough to do a bit of damage.
It turns out it was a customer from my work.
Its bent the bumper a bit and smashed my no plate light, its also bent the rear panel next to my no plate and the boot is a bit hard to close now.
I actually think I'm getting used to this sort of sh*t happening to my car.....Ive had a truck run over the front of it/ some low life bend one of my side stripes/just last week i had a toyota hiace blow a diff right in front of me at 80kph and spray filthy diff oil all over it/ and now the rear end is all **** up.
I'm really starting to think that its just not meant to be with this car, i might even think about moving it on after its all fixed, either that or letting the rego run out, stick it in the garage and come back to it when im in a position to not have to use it as a daily driver.. :(
Anyway here's a couple of pics ,although they don't do it justice.

Mate, new here, so g'day. I've just spent an hour going through your whole thread and i love your 510. (I've got a white one too) I can't believe your bad luck though, crazy.

I hope you persist with it as it would a shame for another one to be off the road.

Cheers hope the repair goes well.

Bad luck again Travis, you're really not having much luck here! Keep it as a daily driver or at least on the road, did you get the Proton driver's insurance details? Hopefully it will all get fixed. Oh and Anth, what happened to yours?

Yeah it sucks nuts that it happened, but you get that.
I got the girls details, so it will all be done through insurance. I just hope it doesn't take as long as last time, i think all up the car was off the road for just under 8 weeks.
Im hoping that some good will come out of this, and they send the rear bumper to get re-rolled and chromed.

Anth 510, i was only reading your thread on the weekend, that sucks mate. It must be something about white dattos....

It must be white datto's. Mine got rear ended while it was parked out the front of my house! Many moons ago though.

Hey mate, yeah i haven't had the best of luck with this car, hopefully i will catch a break with it now.
Ive already got the ball rolling, hopefully it goes into the panel shop tomorrow.
Thanks for the kind words, you should start a thread on your car, its always good seeing new dattos.

Cheers, yeah I'm tempted, I'm just clearing the garage out at the moment to make room put her up on jack stands so I can start on some steel work on the body. She's a runner but has sat in the shed for quite a few years and the body needs work badly. I painted it about ten years ago and lets just say it was a 'first attempt'. She's got an L18 with a warm cam and running twin su's. Ive got some 40mm webers that i plan to rebuild. It's low on king springs and koni's and has adjustable front lower control arms but it needs bump steer spacers as the bump steer is shocking.

Should get some 'before' picks i suppose.

Got a lot inspiration from this thread, and others here of course, to get cracking.

Cheers mate, look forward to seeing yours repaired.

i guess we're both lucky that its all getting covered by insurance...could have been worse, like a hit & run or something.

i know what you mean about hoping something good comes out of it...im trying to get some NOS tail lights

green200b i was stopped in traffic and got rear ended :(
