Nice car, and an excellent engine choice also! Is your rocker cover polished or just bare metal? I'm trying to decide between polished, red or black for mine.

Its a BMW metallic purple. And yeah its polished or was polished  its off my old fj engine (FJ powered KE10), needs to be redone before the car leaves the shed :D

The calipers use SWR brakets on the 240k struts. and all just bolts on :woohoo:

Will post more pics soon as it takes shape.

whats the wiring you have to do?
With my 200bi used all original left hand wires not the original alternator charge due to the new ones being higher in amps but i changed the main power wires, earths ,wires to starter and the charging system.
I also know a great sparky geoff from edwardstown auto electrical if you get stuck.

sik510 - reservior's are from a mate of mine who got them from protek, apparently from some type of truck, just had to modify the outlets to suit the speedflow fittings.

douglasamills - I am remaking the original engine bay loom, basically cutting it at the fuse box and re-routing the new wires. Will let you know if I get stuck and need a sparky.

Shaun

Cool, nice one ;)

I have the same setup using the brackets from SWR... was wondering how you got the Brembos to fit with their longer mouting ears hehe  I can tell you that the setup works awesome on the street and track. Initially I had Bendix Ultimates, but have since upgraded to Ferodo DS2500,, heaps better pedal feel hot and cold, and no squeak which I was getting with the Ultimates.

Where did you get the stickers from, I guess they are special heat resistant?

I've fitted the QFM750, had them in a mates R33 and they were good for a few laps around Mallala with a car that weighs a fair bit more than the 1600 :D , so I'm sure they will be fine.
Mate who is a brake specialist had the stickers made for when he rebuilds and repaints brembos, he has them on his track/street car and they look like new still after many track days. calipers were painted 2pak black, stickers fitted and 2pak cleared
