Last weekend i got the 1969 model Datsun 1600 home that i bought off Ryan (sweet_stanza).
It's my first 1600 that has had potential as a roadcar, which is what it is going to be restored as.

Engine/Drivetrain
-L20b (mildy ported head aswell as some engine work)
-Extractors
-5speed 180b SSS longbox with modified tailshaft
-Open diff
-2.25" exhaust
-Single 40mm DCOE Weber on Lynx crossflow manifold

[ img ]

[ img ]

Suspension/Brakes
-240k struts
-Stanza? Brake master cylinder/booster
-R31 rear disc brakes
-Lowered kingsprings all around
-Front whiteline sway bar (thanks to "MYDATO")

First of all i am going to get the engine running and then pull it out.
The car will be sanded back and all un-needed holes will be welded up.
I plan on getting it painted a bright blue colour.
It came with everything needed to convert it to R31 disc brakes so i will have a go at that.
I bought a 40mm weber on lynx manifold and this will be jetted to suit the engine.
I bought some new wheels off it from "Uncle".
This will definitely be a long term project as i dont really get alot of time to spend on it.

Thanks for reading :cheers

Just wondering about my brake booster. Not a real big fan of the stanza master cylinder, just wondering if I can change it to a 7/8 tandem master cylinder, or for that would I need a 180b small can booster ? (I want it to look neater) if so how much should I be prepared on spending on one of those boosters (secondhand)? Cheers :)

Yep you will need a 180B small booster. As to what size master, really depends on what brake setup you are looking at. ???

If you are going to use that brake setup a sock 180B master (with rear circuit residule vavle remove) and a 180B sball can booster will be perfect. The setup in the pic look to either a Stanza master and booster or 120Y hardware. It will work fine for your chosen brake setup as well. :)

There should be a fitting in your inlet manifold for it mate.
