Hi there I got there.
Turned out a nice drive through the windy uphill roads of mundaring.

Turnout was a little sad really.
I got to Fast Eddies, and there was 3 1600's there.
We chatted for a while and a wagon and a really nice red sedan turned up.
A couple of other people turned up for a look.
We had brecky and it all but three 1600's went home.
The realy nice red one, a white/blue one and my 1970 SSS 4 door carried on to Mundaring.
It was a great trip, nice pub, great weather and most of all a great day.
Common Perth, we have to get more cars for the next one.

Maybee we can start another thread with detail of us Perth guys and hopefully girls  can get in touch with each other so we can make the next day out some thing more rememberable.

What do people think??
Email me direct if you want sss510@arach.net.au

If any one got any pictures of the day please email me as I would love to have a couple.
Rick White.

Cool, ive just sold my R31 Skyline, and am looking to buy a datsun, probably 200b or something, i want a good power/weight car. So i thought a daddo would be the way to go, still not sure though, as i definately want it to be turbo... have any of yous made a carby turbo conversion?

i'm in perth too.
i have a 240C and a 180B, the 240 is juuuuust running (rings are knackered) so i'm building the 180 as a daily driver so i can save for my 3.2L blown stroker.
i'll be under pro240c come monday though, i gave my bloody work email address!

Hmm, the 240C is a 2.4L, thats a six isnt it? What you doing with that? Restore, sell? How much are they worth? Theyre still 70's cars though arent they? Sry, dont know too much about older datsuns. Wonder if you could fit an RB30 in one of them.. or even rb30 block with rb25 head.. hmm

restore for sure.
yeah single carby 4spd L24B with 4.11 diff. 1972 era, much cleaner styling than the 260C - 280C. it's pretty mint as it is, just a whining gearbox and diff and a dead bottom end. but that's always the way with dattos. good body and interior = sh*t engine, or good engine = sh*t body and interior.
there's only 5 registered in WA so i plan to keep it for a VERY long time, or until such time a very tempting cash offer is made.
yeah anything will fit in them, they have an engine bay the size of a kingswood (a-arm style front end, no struts). a TT lexus V8 or infinity V8 would be a better option though, complete with shift kitted 4spd electronic auto.
i'm gonna keep it with all the original numbers, that is if it doesn't work out too expensive to mod the L24 out to an L32 and keep it together with forced induction. otherwise it'll be a twin turbo lexus V8. i plan to find the original 14in steelies and hubcaps (proving very difficult, incl. OS searches) and lower it over whitewalls with a rear venetian. 8)
oLSKooL rocks!
